Parkhouse Cottage
near Midlem,
Selkirkshire
Betten 6
This charming cottage is beautifully situated in the heart of the Border Country. Recently converted within the shell of a much older dwelling, Parkhouse has been appointed to a high standard and is comfortably and prettily furnished.
It stands detached at the end of a quiet tarmac road that peters out at the cottage, and has views of the undulating pasturelands and Border hills. It has its own garden with lawns and a patio, where guests can catch the sun all day, and enjoy the peace and beauty of the open countryside. Situated just outside the village of Midlem, it is conveniently located about 2 miles from Lilliesleaf, (2 pubs), and 5 miles from the small town of Selkirk (shops, restaurants, pubs, swimming pool etc.) It is within easy reach of all the Border towns and only 6 miles from Melrose with its famous abbey. There are numerous stately homes, castles and other attractions to visit via the quiet Border roads, and Edinburgh and the Berwickshire coast are only 42 miles away. Visitor attractions, forest and country walks abound in this beautiful part of Scotland.
Heating is by full electric central heating. Bed linen and towels are available for hire. We regret no pets. No smoking in the cottage.
