Waterside Cottage,
Jedburgh,
Roxburghshire
Betten 8
Waterside Cottage is a very comfortable old stone house with lots of character and a picturesque garden (furniture) bordering the River Jed in the small historic town of Jedburgh (shops, pubs, restaurants) just about one hour's drive south of Edinburgh in the Scottish Border Country.
Recently completely refurbished and redecorated, it makes an ideal bright and cheery house for one or two families or a group of friends, and is in a countryside offering spectacular walks and drives, good fishing, a great choice of golf courses, stately homes and Roman remains, plus many other historic sites such as Mary, Queen of Scots' House and the 13th C. Abbey in Jedburgh itself.
The house has a 30-ft long lounge/dining-area overlooking the river where everyone can get together/eat in comfort, an excellently equipped kitchen with breakfast area, and two staircases - one a spiral. Unusually there is a children's play area; and the private drive can accommodate four cars.
Heating is by gas central-heating
included, and wood-burning stove.
Bed-linen, towels and £10-worth of electricity are
included. Pets are welcome.
