The two traditional stone cottages on a farm at the foot of the Grampian Mountains 4 miles south of Alford (shops, pub, swimming pool, new 18-hole golf- course) and 23 miles west of the thriving town of Aberdeen (theatres, etc) make an excellent quiet country base from which to explore the very popular Royal Deeside as well as the countryside, castles and interesting coast of Aberdeenshire.

Follow the Castles and Whisky Trails and of course visit the very lovely Royal Deeside and Balmoral Castle.
